LAUNCH OF THE FOURTH PHASE OF THE FOOD SECURITY PROJECT

Today, at the headquarters of the National Disaster Management Authority (SoDMA), the fourth phase of the Food Security Project was officially launched. This initiative is aimed at supporting Somali communities affected by drought.

The project is funded by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and implemented by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center KSrelief, in collaboration with the national organization Tadamun.

In this new phase, a total of 5,085 tons of food aid will be distributed to more than 805,000 individuals across various regions of the country.

The launch event was attended by the Chairman of SoDMA, Mr. Mahmoud Moalim Abdille; the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Somalia, Amb. Ahmed Al-Muwallad; the Ambassador of the Arab League, Amb. Abdallah Al-Utaybi; the Ambassador of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Amb. Mohamed Bamba; the Chairman of the national organization Tadamun, Abdirahman Abdirisak Abdirahman; along with other officials from international organizations, distinguished guests, and members of civil society.

This project reflects the brotherly ties and ongoing support that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia extends to the Somali people.
