In collaboration with ARF, Tadamun has completed the construction of a borehole in Falayr-yaale village in Sool region to find clean water for the residents there.
THE REPORT
Godqaboobe village is located in Sool region on the main road between Laascaanood and
Garowe, its population is about 800 to 1200 families who are mainly pastoralist.
This population life depends on livestock, previously there was no enough water for both
human and livestock, the only source of water was hand pump well and the hand pump was
not accessible for villagers who do not have wheelbarrows.
Early this boys there was an assessment done by Tadamun ant the results showed that there
was an urgent need deep well.
Godqaboobe water well project started at 11/05/19 and was completed on 28/10/19.
The project was funded by ARF (African relief committee) and implemented by TASS
The project was consisted of:
. Water well with deep of 50m, equipped by pipes and plastic casings.
. Storage tank with volume of 20m 3 and height of 5m from the ground
. Solar panels with all necessary cables and switches rounded by steel net.
. One trough for animals, and two kiosks with 6 tabs each.
. The site has security room which will look after the wells equipment.
