Access to quality, nutritious food is fundamental to human existence TASS supported Disaster Management Operations Department provides emergency relief to affected populations to save lives, protect livelihoods, and strengthen recovery from disasters and crises, addressing food insecurity or lack of access to sufficient food in quantity and quality to meet dietary needs has multiple causes: difficulty in accessing income to purchase food. it supported 90,000 households with monthly dry foods in Somalia.
To support access to better livelihood for vulnerable households to enable them buy food for their children, TASS provided income generating activities like skills training and start up small business investment for 1000 people from different regions in Puntland in collaboration with partners and local authorities.
